As the Customer Logistics Analyst with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with an innovative and creative group of logistics professionals.  This position is based in our Calgary office. 

Reporting to the Manager, Customer Logistics, the Customer Logistics Analyst is responsible for reviewing and approving monthly nominations while ensuring tariff compliance.  The successful candidate will support Customer Logistics with throughput strategies in order to maximize system throughput as well as ensure Trans Mountain has sufficient contracts to meet its power demands throughput the pipeline systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and coordinate monthly nominations, weekly reports, dock bid tracking and invoicing, verifying supply and delivery nominations, manager pre-receipt requests and feeder/shipper nom discrepancies.
  • Manage Power Contracts and Connections to ensure Trans Mountain has sufficient coverage at all stations related to demand.
  • Evaluate power saving opportunities including Power Smart credits.
  • Coordinate shutdowns as necessary between provider and engineering.
  • Assist manager with purchasing additional energy as required.
  • Support the shipper services group with data analytics, trends and special projects which can include updating customer data tracking and evaluating market data.
  • Manage System Requests and Compliance Activities using Vista.
  • Support in the investigation to resolve customer complaints.
  • Support Customer Logistic coordinators with commodity movement strategies.
  • Prepare Notice of Preparedness letters and Non-Performance Penalty notices.

 

 Qualifications and Professional Experience:

  • Completed degree / diploma in Accounting, Business, Finance or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Has a general understanding of crude oil scheduling and logistics. 
  • Has been exposed to pipeline hydraulics or production accounting.
  • Understanding of batch operation and pipeline logistics would be an asset.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft office application.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to work independently.
