Trans Mountain operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 300,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta and British Columbia, and 111 kilometres of pipeline in Washington state.

As the HR Coordinator, Talent Acquisition with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of Human Resources professionals. This is a permanent position, based in our Calgary Head Office and will be a member of the Talent Management team.  The HR Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the Talent Acquisition team in the areas of recruitment, data entry related to recruitment and hiring activities, onboarding, pre-employment checks, creation of offers, and tracking and reporting on recruitment activities.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•    Work within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for all activities related to recruitment;
•    Assist in the development or revision of job descriptions for posting in our ATS;
•    Correspond with candidates throughout all stages of the interview and selection process;
•    Research and post to various job posting boards;
•    Coordinating offers for employment;
•    Work with vendors on pre-employment screening and testing;
•    Coordination of on-boarding activities for new team members ;

•    Ability to interact effectively with cross-functionally within the broader HR team;
•    Administration of various HR programs, as assigned; and
•    Other administrative duties related to data entry, document processing, and recruitment tracking.

 

Qualifications and Professional Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment support and or other HR administrative support functions;
  • Previous exposure/experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and/or Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS);
  • Degree, certification, diploma, designation in Human Resources, Business or related field;
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset;
  • Strong skills with the Microsoft suite of products, proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a strong asset;
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and progress high-volume tasks;
  • Proven skills in record keeping and strong attention to details;
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and handle tight timelines;
  • Collaborative and strong team player;
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and trouble shoot; and
  • Commitment to the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
