Human Resources Coordinator, Expansion Project (term role)

The Trans Mountain Expansion Project will provide increased capacity to support Canadian crude oil production growth and ensure access to global energy markets. The largest project in the pipeline’s history, it involves installing approximately 980 kilometres of new pipeline, as well as new and modified facilities.

 

Reporting to the Team Lead Talent Acquisition the HR Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the HR team in the areas of recruitment, data entry related to recruitment and hiring activities, onboarding, pre-employment checks, creation of offers, and tracking and reporting on recruitment activities.  

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•    Work within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for all activities related to recruitment.
•    Assist in the development or revision of job descriptions for posting in our ATS.
•    Interview scheduling and logistics.  
•    Correspond with candidates throughout all stages of the interview and selection process.
•    Research and post to various job posting boards.
•    Coordinating offers for employment.
•    Work with vendors on pre-employment screening and testing. 
•    Respond to requests for information or assistance.
•    Coordination of on-boarding activities for new team members.  

•    Ability to interact effectively with administrators for each functional area.
•    Administration of various HR programs, as assigned.
•    Other administrative duties related to data entry, document processing and talent acquisition.

 

Position Requirements:

•    Degree, certification, diploma, designation in Human Resources, Business or related field is preferred but not required.
•    A minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment support and or other HR administrative support functions.
•    Exhibits a professional, courteous manner at all times and respects the nature of highly confidential and sensitive information.
•    Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and/or Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

•    Specific knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors and Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be an asset. 

•    Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and progress high-volume tasks.
•    Resourceful and able to learn quickly.
•    Agile with changes in workflow and volume of requests.
•    High attention to detail, able to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
•    Ability to prioritize and seek direction when needed. Must be capable and able to work with minimum supervision at times.
•    Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively with others.
•    Ability to troubleshoot problems.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  When required, able to enhance pieces of communication and reports.
•    Comfortable and confident with communicating a recruitment process or procedure to hiring leaders.
•    Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
•    Exceptional skills with the Microsoft suite of products.
