As the Lead, Project Change Management with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of professionals in our Project Controls team.
Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls – Project Services, the Lead, Project Change Management will be responsible for the Management of Change and Project Change Notice processes and cost control and reporting for the Indigenous Relations Team.
This position will be located at our Calgary Head Office.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
- Analyze gaps in processes and propose efficient solutions to challenges
- Lead and coordinate efforts with respect to timely review and approval steps and requirements for Management of Changes (MOC) and Project Change Notice (PCN) processes
Project Change Notice (PCN) Process:
- Manage Trans Mountain Expansion Project (TMEP) PCN Process
- Responsible and accountable for Project-wide PCN Process
- Maintaining TMEP PCN Process coordination, suggesting and implementing enhancements and improvements
- Chair PCN Panel meetings with Senior Management
Management of Changes (MOC) Process:
- Responsible and accountable for Project-wide MOC Process
- Maintaining TMEP MOC Process coordination, suggesting and implementing enhancements and improvements
- Chair MOC Panel meetings with Senior Management
- Developed and continuously providing guidance to Project stakeholders on TMEP Management of Change Framework that clarifies relationship between different Change Management Processes
- On a regular basis providing training, guidance and clarification to multiple Project teams with respect to MOC process
- Review MOC Form for completeness and issue assignments
- Expedite approval process and facilitate MOC Panel Meetings
- Track accurate status
- Provide weekly reporting to Project Control and Senior Management, input into monthly reporting
- Create and run reports as required
- Keeping TMEP MOC Procedure updated
- Keep MOC Approvals Matrix updated
- Coordinate Access requests
Qualifications and Professional Experience
- Degree, certification, diploma, license in project management, accounting or business
- A minimum of 8 years of industry experience with at least, 5 years in project controls
- Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team of project professionals
- Practical skills in project controls are considered an asset
- Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
