As a Senior Recruiter with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of Human Resources professionals. This is a contract position based in our Calgary Head Office and will be a member of the Talent Management team.
Reporting to the Team Lead, Talent Acquisition, this role will be responsible for owning the full cycle recruitment process to support the attraction and hiring of top talent to meet Trans Mountain’s critical hiring objectives. You will be responsible for sourcing and selecting talent across various disciplines across Alberta and British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading sourcing, assessing and interviewing qualified candidates utilizing various recruiting tools and techniques;
- Responsible for advising and leveraging recruiting expertise to influence and execute full cycle recruitment to support a large volume of permanent and contract hires;
- Providing strategic counsel to hiring leaders on selection decisions and guidance on inclusive hirings practices;
- Partnering with in house sourcing specialist and external vendors to attract active and passive candidates;
- Thorough intake discussion with hiring leaders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the position, and development of job postings;
- Effective management of job requisitions within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS);
- Pre-employment screening coordination and assisting with onboarding activities; and
- Advising on the effectiveness of recruiting efforts, plans and implementation to the broader HR team, and providing input and suggestions on process improvements.
Qualifications and Professional Experience:
- Minimum of seven (7) years full-cycle recruitment experience;
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business or related field is preferred;
- Working towards the CPHR designation and/or Registered Professional Recruiter accreditation would be considered an asset;
- Proven track record of having delivered on a large volume of recruiting within stringent timelines;
- Ability to quickly build rapport and develop a high level of trust with internal clients to execute and deliver on their hiring priorities;
- Proficient in all Microsoft office programs and in various types of ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems). Knowledge of SuccessFactors would be an asset;
- Resourceful, high attention to detail and professional demeanor;
- Proven analytical skills, with strong reporting and record keeping skills;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; and
- Commitment to the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
