As a Shipper Services, Summer Student with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and fast-paced group in the Shipper Services Department. Shipper Services plays an integral role in creating optimal logistic plans aimed at maximizing system throughput in the lowest risk manner and this role will aide in the overall success of the team.
This position is based in our Calgary location and reports to the Manager Customer Logistics.
Duration: May 5, 2025 to August 29, 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shipper Services group with data analytics, trending, and special projects.
- Publish weekly pipeline performance reports, including graphic representation of KPIs.
- Apply analytical skills to improve performance reporting process.
- Evaluate market data to assist with Trans Mountain throughput analysis.
- Support Customer Logistics team with reviewing and approving nomination requests, reviewing Shipper requests, upstream and downstream verifications, managing Vessel Proposal Forms, addressing user requests for in house software, communicating with shippers.
- Support the Scheduling team with batch actualizations and locates, entering feeder schedules, Trans Mountain throughput analysis.
- Support the Measurement team with Vista, daily reports and batch reconciliation.
- Perform additional daily tasks to assist all areas of the Shipper Services team.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Professional Experience
- Preference for Business Analytics, Finance, or Business Administration study.
- Interest in learning Pipeline logistics including batch operations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office application.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems and make sound decisions.
- Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively with others.
Other Requirements and Information
- Must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution and return to full time studies in the fall.
The expected pay range for this position is $24.61 to $33.48 CAD per hour.
