This position is exclusively for Indigenous students who are currently registered in a post-secondary program and returning to school in the Fall 2026.

 

Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative, motivated, and values-driven individual to join our dynamic team as a Terminal Operations, Summer Student.

 

In this position, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operational activities, including maintaining inventory accuracy, learning about water management, cleaning and storage tank maintenance to contribute to the safe and reliable delivery of product along the Trans Mountain pipeline system. 

 

This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with pipeline operations, develop technical and field skills while working with various groups to gain exposure to multiple facets of our Edmonton Operations.

 

Duration: May 4, 2026, to August 21, 2026.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Edmonton Operations Office, Control Centre, Regional Office, and Terminal.
  • Support grounds and facility maintenance for Terminal, Operations office, and Control Centre – mowing lawn, cleaning parking areas, painting, etc.
  • Assist Operations personnel with surface water management, cleaning manifold area, sample cabinets, and storage tank farm bays.
  • Assist Operations Administrative Assistant to complete various tasks.
  • Perform inventory and organization of location materials and supplies.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as required.

 

Qualifications and Professional Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
  • A track record of delivering high‑quality work, managing competing priorities, and supporting key business processes or operational functions.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels across the organization.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly, respectfully, and professionally.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to inclusive practices and a willingness to contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive workplace culture.

 

The expected pay range for this position is $24.61 to $33.48 CAD per hour.
